750 g to 1 kg (1 1/2 to 2 lb) runner beans
salt
4 tablespoons cream or top of milk
1. Cook the beans in boiling salted water until they are just tender.
2. Drain well and turn into a heated ovenproof serving dish.
3. Stir in the cream and warm in a preheated moderate oven 180°C (350°F) Gas Mark 4 for a few minutes before serving.
