Cut in half, setting aside the pointed end for other uses
Use scissors to cut into 'petals' that widen towards the stalk end, stopping about 1/2 in (1 cm) short of the stalk base
Rinse under running cold water and remove the seeds. Place in a bowl of iced water and the petals will gradually open out to look like a flower.
